Mmmm. Peanut Butter.

Tonight was the kind of night when only peanut butter will do!  Yum!

Stickeen, book written in John Muir in 1909 and dedicated to his daughter, Helen- one of my son's favorites!

We love the book, Stickeen, by John Muir.  It is about John Muir's adventures with a dog he met on his travels in Alaska.  Anyone who loves dogs will understand that Muir loved animals, and fell in love with this dog, Stickeen.  After the trip in Alaska, Muir never saw Stickeen again, but he named another dog Stickeen when he was a family man and farmer.

Dog Friendly Restaurants in Jack London Square in Oakland, CA

I've been researching dog friendly restaurants at Jack London Square in Oakland, CA.  Each time I look, one more pops up!

We haven't been here yet.  I asked if they are dog friendly when I was at the farmer's market yesterday and they said, "YES!"  There is a large outdoor patio where you can sit outside and face the water.  It is a Pan American Grill.

This place has a really large outdoor area, with an area for lawn bowling and bocce ball.  It gets really busy on the weekends and they do not take reservations.  Our dog enjoyed this place,  but it wasn't really busy the day we visited, we've been there once.  The outdoor area is a beer garden, with many humans drinking.  Our dog wanted a beer, but we said, "NO!"

Dog Friendly farmers market at Jack London Square in Oakland, CA- Sundays, 9AM-2PM (rain or shine)

We went to Jack London Square yesterday without our dog, to visit the farmer's market.  I felt so guilty as there were so many dogs!  The farmer's market is every Sunday from 9AM to 2PM, rain or shine.  Dogs are required to be on leashes.  This farmers market is also very child friendly!
