Horsing Around

Billy loves this horse suit!  He loves dressing up and currently this one is his favorite.

When I asked him, "Why do you like being a horse?" he exclaimed, "It is warm and cuddly!"

Mo loves Billy as a horse...

Dog friendly noodle and ramen restaurant in Oakland that has outdoor dining

Mommy isn't feeling well today, and neither am I so she picked up my favorite noodles and broth at Noodle Theory in Oakland.  Even our dog, Mo, likes the leftovers!

Today, mommy got takeout and we will cuddle on the couch eating our noodles and watching the winter Olympics,  but usually we bring our dog on a warm afternoon and evening.  Mo loves sitting outside at the table and people watching!

Finding a home for disabled dogs- Panda Paws Rescue

A wonderful, kind lady at the sandwich shop told us about an organization called Panda Paws Rescue that rescues dogs missing a limb or are otherwise disabled.  Check out the website to fall in love with the beautiful dogs!  This may just be worthy of our first $100.00 donation from our blog!  Billy will decide.

Redwood Valley Railway in Tilden Park, Berkeley, CA is dog friendly

We've taken our dog to the Redwood Valley Railway in Tilden Park several times.  He loves it, with his fur flying in the wind as the train takes off!  This is also a fun place to take children!

Tilden Park, Berkeley, CA

Prices:

single ride ticket- $3.00
five ride ticket- $12.00

Yesterday we had a great time at the Steam Train at Tilden Park.  A 5-ride ticket on the steam train is $12 (single-ride tickets are $3).  Each ride is about 15 minutes long.  The tracks wind through the redwoods in the park, and you can catch glimpses of the Bay in the distance.

Pictures of the nearby Golden Gate Miniature Railroad.  A club maintains the railroad, which is open to the public on Sundays (we went on a Monday holiday and so the GGMRy was closed).

We then walked up part of the Sea View Trail, which is a fire-trail that you can find right by the upper parking lot for the train area.  Here are some of the views from the trail.  First, facing West:
