Otto Wolfgang gets saved by Leave No Paws Behind, which helps seniors keep their dogs

Today, my friend told me about a dog called Otto Wolfgang whose owners couldn't afford to pay their dog's medical bills, or even for euthanasia, so had to leave their dogs tied about an animal rescue organization.   The nonprofit Leave No Paws Behind, are reuniting the owners with their pet!

I was surprised to also discover that 13% of dogs are relinquished by owners because of financial hardship.  Billy and I keep canned dog food and treats in our car to give to homeless dogs in the Berkeley/Oakland area, which is a much more common sight than people in the suburbs would believe.  I have a friend, Gabriella, who passed away this past month, we are going to give $100. to the Leave No Paws Behind, Inc.  It is an all breed, all foster based rescue center that specializes in seniors.
